There is no doubt that Andre Wright will find himself in a position to dominate in the middle of the NFL in the near future, but his development has been very slow to date. I don’t know why most people didn’t give him a shot in the draft when he was first drafted, but in his limited experience he might have some things to work on to become an impact player in the NFL. The Giants gave him a lot of playing time and he really started to pay off at the end of the season. If he keeps developing and maturing like he has in the pre-season and camp so far, he should be able to stick in the NFL for years to come.
I am not saying that Andre Wright will become an elite player, but I believe that he has a lot of potential to be one and he is a sleeper at that. His talent could translate to being a top 5 overall pick and he is certainly worth keeping an eye on. If he can prove that he has what it takes to be a dominant inside linebacker in the NFL, he has a good chance to become a top 5 pick.
So What Will Andre Wright Do In 2020? He will likely start the year as the second strongside linebacker behind Justin Tuck and be the one responsible for stopping the run. He will most likely rotate in at strongside linebacker with Jason Pierre Thomas for the first few games of the year. I think that he will eventually replace Tuck as the starter and he will most likely make more tackles than the veteran does.
