The Department of Nuclear and Particle physics provides a variety of programs that are designed to train students to advance their careers in the field of nuclear and particle physics. The Department of Nuclear Physics provides programs that prepare students for a variety of careers. Many students choose to continue their education through graduate school or post-graduate studies. The Department offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in nuclear and particle physics. Many of these programs are designed to help students acquire the necessary tools and training for careers in research, academic institutions, and the nuclear and particle physics industry.

Students in nuclear and particle physics often specialize in specific areas. A wide variety of students select a program that will develop their particular interests. Areas such as particle accelerators and nuclear energy are available, as well as programs focused on the fields of astronomy and space physics.

The Department of Nuclear and Particle Physics employs a large number of faculty members to carry out research and curriculum development. Most of the nuclear physics students who graduate from the Department of Nuclear Physics continue their education through graduate and post-graduate programs at accredited institutions. Students who do not go on to a post-graduate program may choose to complete research work study through state-funded research institutions. or work directly with their faculty mentors, who provide a wealth of experience in the nuclear physics research and engineering.

The Department of Nuclear Physics is committed to maintaining quality and maintaining a strong alumni association with former students of the department. There are several scholarships and special awards provided to students who demonstrate a strong commitment to nuclear physics research. A wide variety of graduate fellowships and bursaries are offered to students who participate in research, especially nuclear physics research.

Students who complete their education in the nuclear physics department have the opportunity to work in research laboratories, in academia, or in industry, or to further their education in nuclear physics. Many graduate students return to the Department of Nuclear Physics to find employment as faculty members.

The Department of Nuclear Physics provides students with courses that include topics related to the study of nuclear physics. Students are able to take a bachelor of science degree in Nuclear Physics, or higher. A master’s degree is also available for students who wish to advance their education beyond the bachelor of science level.

Students interested in working in the nuclear physics industry should consider obtaining a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Physics from an accredited university. It also provides students with hands-on knowledge of how to protect themselves and/or others from the dangers posed by radioactive materials.
